Our history

2019
We knew there was a place in Poland with undiscovered potential – a place where we could create one of the most impressive festivals on the national map. That location is, of course, the Silesian Park in Chorzów. We decided to accentuate its natural beauty with impressive decorations to create a festival site like no one has seen before in Poland. We emphasized our intentions with the name – we chose the word “fest”, which in Silesian slang also means “a lot” and “strongly”.
Our audience took the name of the FEST Festival to heart. 25,000 people partied in Silesian Park on August 23rd and 24th. We provided 8 stages for participants: Main Stage, Tent Stage, Silesia Stage, New Stage, Club Stage, and, of course, Smolna, Raban, and Astral which were the basis of Kręgi Taneczne zone. Nearly a hundred artists performed in the span of 2 days. Our debut was a success. It is evidenced not only by the attendance but also by thousands of smiles on the faces of our visitors, as well as hundreds of favorable comments and declarations of returning in the following year.

Among the performers at the FEST Festival 2019 were: Alan Walker, Disclosure, Jaden Smith, Schoolboy Q, Róisín Murphy, Metronomy, Sevdaliza, Little Dragon, Rejjie Snow, Viagra Boys, Lost Frequencies, Meute, Christian Löffler, Lion Babe, Netsky, Kero Kero Bonito, JMSN, Daria Zawiałow, Bedoes, Sokół, Kwiat Jabłoni, Ørganek, and Smolasty.
Kiasmos, Marco Bailey, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Logic Bomb, Roni Size & Dynamite MC, Oxia, Camo & Krooked, Kalya Scintilla, Alix Perez B2B Skeptical & MC Mantamast, Technimatic, Reinier Zonneveld, Catz ‘N Dogz, Merkaba, and Tsuyoshi Suzuki performed on Kręgi Taneczne stages.

2021
We immediately started working on the second edition of the festival. We had already shared a large part of the line-up. But our plans were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused the FEST Festival – like many other summer events – to be canceled. But we didn’t give up, and we decided that we would return with double the strength in 2021. The FEST Festival lasted for the first time for 4 days and took place between August 11th and 14th, 2021.
The arrangement of the stages also changed. The impressive Arena joined Main, Tent, and Silesia. A new part of the Kręgi Taneczne zone also debuted – the well-known and beloved Eden. This time, more than 30,000 people visited us after a long break to satisfy their hunger for festival experiences. The FEST Festival became a celebration of freedom – a moment awaited by tens of thousands of people. It was a wonderful celebration of collective joy.

Performers at the FEST Festival 2021 included: Kygo, James Bay, Paul Kalkbrenner, Alan Walker, Mata, The Blaze, Aurora, Mura Masa, Sanah, Purple Disco Machine, Princess Nokia, Jax Jones, Sohn, OIO, Kayah & Bregović, Missio, Kensington, Ofenbach, Robin Schulz, Boys Noize, Kerala Dust, Jan Blomqvist, Dillon, Kiasmos, PRO8L3M, Smith & Thell oraz Matisse & Sadko.

2022
The third edition of the FEST Festival is proof that we do not rest on our laurels and constantly strive to move forward. We returned to the Park Śląski between August 10th and 13th. The layout of the stages remained unchanged, with the only exception being the new part of Kręgi Taneczne zone – curated by the Parisian collective Possession, deeply rooted in the hard techno scene.
We also had many reasons to be happy. The number of artists in our line-up exceeded the magical number of 200. We were also visited by nearly 50,000 people, which means we almost reached a maximum capacity. Sure, Silesia Park is spacious, but its infrastructural limitations cause the amount of tickets to be fixed in advance. Keep that in mind while planning your visit in 2023 and in subsequent years. There are many chapters of FEST Festival’s history that we can write together!

At the 2022 FEST Festival, The Chainsmokers, Stromae, Quebonafide, Charlotte De Witte, Rüfüs Du Sol, Woodkid, Claptone, Nothing But Thieves, Jungle, Jon Hopkins, Vitalic, Caribou, Scooter, FKJ, Duke Dumont, Son Lux, bbno$, James Arthur, Armand Van Helden, Astrix, Ashnikko, Fisher, Masked Wolf, Nervo, Rudimental, Beata and Bajm, Gus Dapperton, Elderbrook, SYML, Pete & Bas, Alfa Mist, Mulimba, Shy FX, and Nothing But Thieves performed.
